It is the political Era where the nation's interest is on the general election. This election happens to be the 5th election since the end of military rule in 1999.
Voters have the sole power of electing their representatives. The focus of this election is on the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan, contesting for a second term, and a retired Maj.Gen. Muhammad Buhari, who enjoys support all over the country, among other candidates.
At times like this, the faith of the country lies with the Independent National Electoral Commission - INEC.
INEC is the electoral body,it was set up to oversee elections in Nigeria. This body which was set up in 1998 has received criticism about its unpreparedness of elections, and also on the subject of election irregularities.
Despite the malpractices or manipulations that is characterized with Nigeria election, we hope that the card reader will truly change or improve on the credibility of our elections.
The card reader which has the ability to identify finger prints, is a technology innovation INEC intend to use to determine the genuineness of PVC. This tool is supposed to make the election difficult to manipulate.
While some voters waited patiently for their finger print to be approved on the day of the election, others frowned at its slowness and inability to work in some areas due to some challenges.
This card reader is to stop fraudulent election practices, but reports has it that it was otherwise in some areas.
Nigerians seek a credible government, we hope they don't deny us this right.
Under this present government, Nigeria has been ranked, as the worst nation in terms of leadership in the area of social welfare and equal opportunities of the people. We are seen as the most corrupt nation, with Nigeria's leadership admitting that they could not account for up to $20 billion oil revenue earnings.

Under this present leadership, kidnapping has gone full cycle.
Today, Nigeria has the poorest people of any nation, with 70% of its citizen living below a dollar per day.
In aspect of terrorism, current ranking puts Nigeria's leadership second to Hitler, after surpassing Saddam Hussein in term of deliberate and government supervised internal wastage of life.
Our saving grace at this time is the general election. With 30 percent of Nigeria's citizen running abroad to seek safety, some defiled the idea of running for safety abroad to re-write their story.
This is the time to make things work at our own advantage.
Nigerians are tired of failed promises. We need to measure up in terms of the caliber of leadership put up at globalized world. We want a leader who is competent and ready to fight corruption.
So we Matched and in one Voice we did...
The introduction of the card reader was to promote a free and fair election, and with this faith and in one unity, we await a result free of manipulations from INEC and pray that, this is not a dream too difficult to come true...
