The walk to CHANGE...

We are in an era of Change, a time of economical development, a new beginning. According to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and I quote "It is a moment, when hope is re-born, faith is rekindled and fresh fire of patriotism is released for the task ahead."

This transition involves the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan and the President elect, Rtd Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

In 2011 President Goodluck Jonathan declared his intentions to run in the presidency race on facebook. This became news and won the hearts of millions of Nigerians, because other politicians or leaders distance from social network to evade accountability.

This single act made Nigerians believe, he could be open to criticism, suggestion and opinions of the masses.

He made one promise, which was " to promise less and deliver more"

As his name suggest (Goodluck), Nigerians rooted for him, irrespective of his tribe, religion and culture affiliation, we voted. It was a general match, a general match for a leader with goodluck,"we thought."

His administration failed us...

Pres. Goodluck Jonathan has been president since 2010. Before then, he was the vice president of Nigerian from 2007 to 2010. He was sworn in May 29 1999, as the deputy Governor of Bayelsa state, with Diepreye Alamieyeseigha as the Governor. He later became the governor of Bayelsa in 2005 to 2007 when Diepreye Alamieyeseigha was charged with money laundering.

Pres. Goodluck Jonathan conceded defeat to Rtd. Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, in a competitive election, this makes him the first Nigeria sitting president to do so.

Rtd Maj.Gen. Muhammadu Buhari is the President Elect of Nigeria. Born on 17th Dec, 1942. He was the head of state of Nigeria from 31 Dec 1983 to 27 Aug 1985, through a coup d'etat.

This strong-willed leader ran unsuccessfully for the office of the president in 2003, 2007, 2011 election but won the 2015 presidential election defeating the incumbent president.

Indeed Mr President Elect, history is being made and change has finally come.

Patiently we waited for the election date, Feb 14, which was eventually held March 28 2015.
Under the rain, basked in the sun, we were determined to cast our vote.

The INEC Chairman, Prof. Atahiru Jega refused to get compromised and saw to it that the people's vote counted.

For everytime Atahiru Jega said "recess", we prayed and hoped, it was not the time for any manipulation to take place. I call him the victor of this change.

Many Nigerians fought for this and we look forward to great development of this nation.

This is the time to work as one nigeria, for the progress of the nation.

Change is here, let's embrace it...
